Filling of the matrix is an important factor for nanostructure composites. Preceramic polymers have an advantage to composite matrix owing to the low viscosity at room temperature and high thermal and chemical resistance. These can also be applied for transparent materials of optical applications in the displaying field. Thus, it is important to study the matrix which is transparent and thermally stable. In this study, matrix composites were prepared bu sol-gel method and pyrolyzed. The polymethylhydrosiloxane, 2,4,6,8-Tetramethyl-2,4,6,8-tetravinylcyclotetrasilozane, and 1,3-Divinyltetramethyldisiloxane were mixed woth various crosslinking agent/precursor reatios in the presence of Pt catalyst. Thermal properties were analyzed by differential scanning calorimeter, while optical characteristics were determined by UV-spectrometer and Fourier transform in frared spectroscopy. According to the crosslinking agent/precursor ratios, bulk formation was changed woth thermal and optical properties. In addition, it showed high transmittance without yellowing. These fundamental experiments would be helpful for thermal and optical properties on bulk formation of preceramic polymer. |
