We synthesized energetic prepolymer of glycidyl dinitro propyl formal(GDNPF) binder for plastic-bonded explosive and GDNPF as a monomer was epoxidated from allyl-2-2-dinitro propyl formal which is reacted with dinitro propyl alcohol and allyl alcohol, and then energetic polymer of glycidyl dinitro propyl formal(GDNPF) was polymerized by cationic ring opening polymerization. Number average molecular weight(Mn), polydispersity(Pd), hydroxy number and glass transition temperature(Tg) of prepolymer(GDNPF) were 2,500∼3,500, 1.2∼1,3, 0.6∼0.8eq/kg and -20∼-25℃ respectively. Synthesis for energetic poly(GDNPF) thermoplastic elastomers were prepared from the appropriate Poly(GDNPF), diisocyanate MDI, TDI and chain extender(BD) in dichloroethane. The properties of its elastomers were melting temperatures high enough for useful mechanical properties. Analytical techniques were developed and have provided partial understanding of the polymerization mechanism. |
