Liquid crystal alignment properties of acrylic polymer derivatives with various side chains: effect of functional terminal moiety in the side chain |
초록 |
In order to control the nematic liquid crystal (LC) alignment, new acrylic polymer derivatives with various functional moieties in the side chains were synthesized by simple polymer analogous reaction. It was found that LC alignment behaviors were remarkably different according to the type of functional moieties attached on the side chains of the polymers. Based on these results, the copolymers composed of each component with planer and homeotropic alignment properties were further synthesized for the pretilt angle control and their LC alignment properties were estimated. |
