제목 Preparation of Injectable EGF-Immobilized Particles using UV-Curable Carrageenan Derivatives
초록 Protein drugs, such as growth factors, have a short half-life when introduced into the body and are rapidly degraded, failing to produce sustained effects. Photo-immobilization technology can be utilized as a technique to solve the problem of such a protein drug. Photo-immobilization techniques can load protein drugs in the natural polymer and to maintain the drug’s effect constantly. The drug immobilization material is a natural polymer that should have biocompatibility, biodegradability and low toxicity, and can be applied to medical materials technology. One of natural polymer, Carrageenan is harmless to human, and is decided suitable material that meet the conditions for injectable derivatives. The ability to protein drug immobilization was confirmed by fluorescent protein using fluorescence microscope. Based on these characteristics, UV-Curable Carboxymethyl Carrageenan is expected to be application in medical field.
