제목 Polymer polypeptide conjugate synthesis in aqueous environments using the microwave energy
초록 Protein-polymer conjugates are an important biomaterial for a wide range of applications in the areas of medicine and biotechnology. With the development of protein-reactive initiators which allows the ring-opening polymerization of NCAs to form well-defined polymers is possible. Normally, NCAs are prepared and used in organic solvents with high nucleophilicity and donor ability such as DMF. But, recently NCAs can also be formed in water conditions on extreme hot-pressure. Microwave energy makes water can be boiled much higher than its boiling point and dissolve reactants. In general it is well appreciated that due to the much lower dielectric constant nonpolar compounds become better soluble in water with raising temperature and pressure, which brings about advantages for many synthetic applications. As a result, water and hot-pressurized water in particular moved into focus of synthetic organic chemistry as an alternative reaction medium “for green sustainable organic synthesis”.
