제목 Preparation and Electrochemical Activity of Pt nanocatalysts using dopamine functionalized graphene supports for direct methanol fuel cells
초록 Graphene or Graphene oxide (GO) have given rise to intense interest with advaced materials due to its excellent physical and electronic properties. A recent study has shown that the noncovalent functionalization between graphene oxide and aromatic molecules plays an important role in improving electronic properties of Graphene. Especially, dopamine (DA), 3,4-dihydroxy-L-phenylalanine, is interesting for its strong interaction with metal oxides and GO.  
In this work, the DA coated on reduced GO nanocomposite (DA-RGO) was synthesized via aqueous solution process. Then, Pt nanoparticles were deposited on the surface of the resultant DA-RGO via polyol process. As a result, the Pt/DA-RGO nanocatalysts show a narrow Pt particle size distribution and improved catalytic performance.
