A facile hydration of nitriles to amides by a mangania-supported ruthenium catalyst |
| 초록 |
Hydration of nitriles to amides with heterogeneous catalytic system is a significant conversion from both academic and industrial standpoint. The supported ruthenium (Ru(OH)x/MnO2) easily catalyzed nitriles to amides including benzylic, aliphatic and vinyl nitriles with outstanding yields and selectivities in water at 60 °C. Pharmaceutically important nicotinamides and pyrazinamide are produced by hydration of the heterocyclic cyanonitriles. Furthermore, the system produced very high turnover numbers of 32500 h-1. The catalyst was recyclable for five turns after reaction. |
