Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) matrix composite titania nanofibers embedded with graphene derivative (GO) and quantum dot (GQDs) were fabricated via polymer assisted electrospinnning technique. Photoluminescence (PL) spectra and degradation of environmental pollutants based on methylene blue degradation for electrospun fibers were evaluated. For optimum results for PL different weight percentages (0.05, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 and 0.5 wt. %) of GO and GQDs were used. The results show that nanosized GQDs embedded fibers possesses a strong quantum confinement effect and hence emits intense wavelength of PL spectra. Here, synergistic effect of titania and Graphene derivatives (GO and GQDs) nanofibers were investigated to elucidate the photocatalytic properties and mechanism of PL. |
