제목 | Combustion Characteristics of the Regenerative Radiant Tube Burner |
초록 | This study has been carried out to develop a low NOx regenerative radiant tube burner. Field tests of a regenerative combustion system were performed in a continuous galvanizing line to optimize burner design and to derive guidelines for combustion control. It has been shown that the burner model proposed in the first stage of this research, a burner equipped with a slit type air nozzle and dual fuel nozzles, is effective in reducing NOx emission. A NOx emission of less than 110 ppm was accomplished at normal operating conditions. A combustion control method adopting time proportional on/off scheme was tested to stably meet the requirement of regenerative combustion. It is expected that a technological advancement in the regenerative radiant tube burner have been accomplished through this research although economic issues have not been cleared yet. |
