NaTi2(PO4)3 Grown on Graphene Sheets as High Energy Anode for Sodium-ion Energy Storage Devices |

Sodium super ionic conductor (NASICON) structured NaTi2(PO4)3 (NTP) has attracted wide attention in energy storage devices due to their high ionic conductivity, and structural stability. However, it still suffer from low output capacity and poor rate capability due to the low electronic conductivity. In this study, NTP particles grown on graphene (GNTP) has been achieved by a simple sol-gel process to enhance their sodium ion storage performance. The synthesized GNTP sample was characterized by using XRD, SEM, TEM, and Raman spectroscopy to study their microstructure and morphology. Furthermore, Na+ storage ability of the GNTP is examined at extended operational voltage window between 0.01 and 3.0 V, for additional sodium insertion into NASICON structure. The extra sodium insertion can deliver high capacity and favorable towards enhancing output energy. GNTP demonstrated an excellent rate performance and high stability. Additionally, the high sodium storage benefits of GNTP have been utilized towards high energy – high power sodium hybrid capacitor system. The detailed results will be discussed and presented. |
