제목 | Hydrogen production from ethanol steam reforming over bimetallic NixVy/SiO2 catalysts |
초록 | Nickel-based catalysts supported on various Al2O3 porous materials have been investigated for ESR for high hydrogen production. However, the coke that is formed through the rapid sintering between the Ni and Al2O3 supports is a serious problem. To solve the problem, Ni-free activated noble metals, such as Pt, Pd, Rh, Ru, and Ir, have recently been reported, but the hydrogen evolutions were shifted to higher temperatures, and which are very expensive. In this study we attempt to reduce the deactivation during ESR for high hydrogen generations using a new active species of V, simultaneously with introduction of Ni onto the SiO2 support. This study investigated the application of advanced bimetallic catalytic species, Ni and V ingredients, to hydrogen production from ESR (ethanol steam reforming). The NixVy/SiO2 exhibited significantly higher ESR reactivity, and the highest reactivity was achieved with 30(Ni8V2)/70SiO2 catalysts. |
