We have designed and synthesized the reactive liquid crystalline compounds derived from fluorene-thiophene. In order to secure the liquid crystalline property, flexible chains were introduced either to the core or side of the fluorene-thiophene. In this presentation we will describe the synthesis of the reactive liquid crystal compounds of fluorene-thiophene and their mesomorphism based on the thermal transition (DSC) and mesophase texture (POM). Their optoelectronical property will be discussed also. |
