Effect of benzyl headgroup-substituted CTAB-based surfactant on electrocatalytic dechlorination of allylchloride mediated by electrogenerated Co(I)(bipyridine) in aqueous media |
초록 |
CTAB, which is considered as the representative cationic surfactant, has been used for the micellar enhancement of electrocatalytic mediated reductive dechlorination of several organic pollutants. In the present work a benzyl headgroup-bearing CTAB-based surfactant (cetylbenzyldimethylammonium chloride (CBDAC)) was studied for its structural effect on the dechlorination of allyl chloride (AC) by electrogenerated [Co(I)(bipyridine)3]+. The performance of CBDAC in mediation reaction has been compared with that of CTAB using cyclic voltammetry studies. |
