Using continuous coating and photopolymerization, we developed circular-polarized and free-standing broadband reflected mirrors. Because of the coating viscoelasticity and intrinsic chirality, cholesteric liquid crystal (CLC) films can be prepared by simple brush coating method. The helical pitch of the CLC paints were controlled by the concentration of the chiral monomer in the reactive mesogen. The CLC film showed excellent mechanical, thermal and chemical stabilities by stabilizing with photopolymerization. The sequentially stacked CLC films was confirmed by SEM observations combined with optical calculations. The CLC film reflected visible light over the whole visible wavelength region. The continuous coating provides a simple solution for fabricating full-color reflector with low cost.
