The chromatographic behavior of some nucleic acids (nucleobases, nucleosides, and nucleotides) on a C18 column was studied with different concentrations of 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafuloroborate ([BMIm][BF4]), 1-and ethyl-3-methylimidazolium methylsulfate ([EMIm][MS] ionic liquids as an additive for the mobile phase in reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC). The effects of the length of the alkyl group on the imidazolium ring, the imidazolium counterion, the concentrations of ionic liquid, and the PH of the mobile phase (water:methanol=10/90 vol.%) on the retention factor and resolution of the samples were performed. |
