제목 | Performance of MFI membrane reactor on methanoldehydration to DME: Review |
초록 | Using zeolite membrane reactor (ZMR) as a catalyst forchemical reaction proved to be a novel method for achieving maximum product conversion.Several studies have showed the ability of ZMR to select and remove water fromthe reaction system, shifts the equilibrium of the reaction towards DME formation.A great enrichment of methanol conversion (90.9 % at 310 °C) while maintaining 100 % DME selectivity was achievedusing a sandwich FAU–LTA zeolite dual-layer membrane. Furthermore, applying twoZSM-5 type zeolite supported membranes as catalytic membrane reactors fordimethyl ether (DME) synthesis by MeOH dehydration has been studied. Themembranes with distinct support (TiO2 and γ-Al2O3) but same ZSM-5 zeolitelayers were operated as contactors. The performance of the two membranereactors was analyzed as a function of the temperature (150−250 °C) and feedpressure (120−300 kPa). |
