Stimuli-responsive Hybrid Plasmonic Nanostructures for Enhanced Optical Sensing |
초록 |
Surface Plasmon resonance is an enhanced electromagnetic field induced by the interaction between the light and the surface plasmon in noble metal. The assembly of plasmonic nanostructures can induce near field coupling of surface plasmons between adjacent particles, leading to the generation of hot spots that are useful for enhancing Raman scattering. Noble nanostructures associated with responsive polymeric materials can be exploited to probe dynamic SP coupling behavior induced by swelling-shrinking transitions by a specific environmental stimulus. The volume phase transition in the polymer layer causes changes in the refractive index in the vicinity of the surfaces and induces changes in the characteristic inter particle distance. Concretely, Au NPs having stimuli-responsive polymer chains tethered to the Au surface were first fabricated through SI-ATRP. The optical properties of these stimuli-responsive devices were investigated in terms of SPR coupling phenomenon. |
