제목 The Effect of Ionic Crosslinking on Sulfonated Poly(arylene ether sulfone)s for Direct Methanol Fuel Cell Application
초록 In this study, novel sulfonated poly(arylene ether sulfone) copolymers containing ionic cross-linkable moieties were synthesized by direct polymerization of dihalide and diphenoxide monomers between the -SO3H groups and =NH groups. In order to identify the effect of crosslinking on the properties of copolymer, the degree of crosslinking and the level of sulfonation was controlled by changing monomer composition. As a result, the novel crosslinked copolymers exhibited significantly low water uptake and methanol permeability, while proton conductivities and IEC values were similar with those of non-crosslinked membranes.
