The research of interrelation between the chromatographic characteristics and the physico-chemical properties of biologically active substances is the important task of modern chemistry. Especially, phytoestrogens have a high potential in the prevention of like atherosclerosis, osteoporosis, cardiovascular diseases, several kinds of the cancer and postmenopausal complaints. In this work, 12 isoflavones are divided into three groups. For the estimation of retention factor were established by the semi-empirical equations. The linear equation in common logarithm between the chromatographic retention factor and the descriptors of water solubility (S) and hydrophobicity (PQ) were satisfactory. A semi-empirical equation is k = a0 + a1 *logS +a2 *logPQ, and the correlation coefficient of the three groups respectively, 0.9694(1), 0.9754(2), and 0.9530(3). The found equations can be used successfully for a prediction of the various chromatographic characteristics of substances, which have a similar chemical structure. |
