제목 Preparation of Novel Semi-Conducting Polymer Particles by Supercritical Fluid Process
초록 Great advances have been made in the synthesis and production of nanoparticles from a variety of materials, though most of which are based on metals or other inorganic elements. There has been considerably less progress in the development of reliable and versatile techniques for well-dispersed organic and polymeric materials. Conducting polymer particles are an attractive class of materials due to their unique properties and potential applications including conducting composites, coatings and chromatography.
Herein, we report a simple method to prepare “clean” semi-conducting polymer particles without use of liquid solvents and surfactants or other templating materials by Rapid Expansion of Supercritical Solutions (RESS) process. A CO2-soluble fluorinated ester substituted polythiophene semi conducting polymer, poly[2-(3-thienyl)acetyl 3,3,4,4,5,5,6,6,7,7,8,8,8-tridecafluoro-1-octanoate] (PSFTE), was subjected to RESS with CO2 at pre-expansion temperatures of 40 oC and pre-expansion pressures of 276 bar to give spherical polymeric particles in the size range of 50 – 500 nm..
