Organic Phototransistors with Chemically Doped Conjugated Polymer Sensing Layers |

Organic electronic devices have been extensively studied because of their viable positions for next-generation devices and systems featuring ultrathin, and flexible characteristics. Optical detectors have been recently spotlighted because of their broadened applications including miniaturized cameras for smart phones and drones. However, most optical detectors have been fabricated with inorganic materials so that they have a fundamental limitation in the flexible and wearable electronics. In this regard, our group has attempted to invent series of organic photodetectors by employing organic semiconductors, which could be flexible with high design freedom. In particular, organic phototransistors have been one of our high priority devices as they possess benefits in active matrix sensing. In this presentation, organic phototransistors, of which sensing layers consist of chemically doped conjugated polymers, will be demonstrated and their NIR sensing performances will be discussed. |
