Efficient polymer solar cells fabricated by simple brush painting |
초록 |
Despite of relatively low efficiency compared to the conventional inorganic solar cells, the potential of roll-to-toll process on flexible substrates makes polymer solar cells so attractive as a solution to the energy problems. Considering the efficiencies approaching ~4-5%, the development of novel solution processes, which are compatible for the mass production with low cost, is one of the crucial requirements for practical device applications. Here, we report a brush painting as a promising method for the fabrication of efficient and flexible solar cells even on a non-flat surface such as roofing tiles. Higher device efficiency could be obtained compared to the spin-coated devices, resulting from the improved organization of polymer chains and domains induced by more effective application of shear stress to the polymer chains during the brushing process. The highest efficiency of 5.4 % was achieved by brush painting an active layer followed by annealing at 110 C. |
