제목 | Enhanced photoluminescence properties of Eu-doepd POSS hybrid phosphors for applications |
초록 | Recently, polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) materials have attracted much attention due to their unique thermal, chemical, and mechanical stabilities derived from their siloxane (Si–O–Si) frameworks, which have high bond energies. Furthermore, POSSs exhibit excellent compatibility with organic materials because of their inorganic core with various functional organic substituents. In this study, we have described a novel organic-inorganic hybrid polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) type monomer ligand 2,6-pyridinediamine-bis-propanylheptaisobutyl POSS (PDC-POSS) and synthesized in the preparation of luminescent hybrid complex europium doped PDC-POSS phosphors. The photoluminescence (PL) spectrum of Eu3+-doped PDC-POSS was detected at 591, 615, 650, 693 nm under excitation of UV light (λ = 285 nm). Transparent thin films were deposited from aqueous colloidal solution of hybrid phosphors on bank note, plastic card substrates, and cotton fiber to demonstrate high transparency of phosphor thin films feasible to anti-counterfeiting application which requires concealment and identification by naked eyes.
