제목 Effect of Calcite Filler in B2O3-ZnO-BaO Glass System on Reflectance
초록 In the display industry, it is required to develop the reflector which has high reflectance and low dielectric constant for luminance efficiency and power consumption. Calcite may be a suitable material as a filler for highly efficient reflector, because calcite has low dielectric constant and high reflectance. It is available to acquire price competitiveness due to its high storage on the earth. We fabricated the composites added with calcite as a filler in the B2O3-ZnO-BaO glass system with various contents (10~60 wt%). The reflectance and dielectric constant were evaluated using UV-spectrometer and LCR meter. To analyze the effect of calcite added in the matrix glass on the reflectance and dielectric constant of the composites, their microstructure and density were evaluated using scanning electron microscope and Archimedes method. By the addition of the calcite in the matrix glass the reflectance and dielectric constant were dramatically changed. Each specimens showed the dielectric constant of 3~4. When comparing the effect of calcite added in the matrix glass on the reflectance of the composites, it is necessary to concern the volume fraction of filler because the volume fraction of the filler in the matrix glass is directly related with the whole reflectance of the composites. The composite added 20wt% of calcite in the matrix glass showed highest reflectance until 0.5 volume fraction of calcite.
