제목 | Changes of Fluorescence quenching by Structural Difference |
초록 | Tryptophan is one of aromatic amino acids and well known as a fluorescence quencher with PET mechanism. To make tryptophan to have an effective quenching ability, we can induce Van der Waals force between tryptophan and a fluorophore with introduction of a short peptide chain. This fluorescence quenching ability changes by the distance of two residue, and can be figured out by the peptide chain. Herein, we developed a series of fluorescence sensors based on NBD as a fluorophore and tryptophan as a receptor connected with different length of glycine chains for detection of mercury ions. These sensors detect mercury ions selectively either by turn on or turn on response depending on the length of linkers between the NBD and the tryptophan part. |
