The reduction of light reflection from device surfaces is a critical issue due to decrease of light absorption in photovoltaic devices and undesirable glare in flat-panel displays. Thus, an effective antireflection coating (ARC) is needed for a higher optical transmittance. Here, we demonstrate that an excellent Graded-refractive index ARC (GIARC) in the visible wavelength range can be achieved using double-layered poly (styrene-b-dimethylsiloxane) (PS-PDMS) BCP thin films. By the selective etching of PS-PDMS BCPs, we can obtained highly porous silica thin films. The refractive indices can be controlled from 1.111 to 1.346. The GIARC showed average and maximum transmittance of 99.1% and 99.9%, respectively. Moreover, an anti-fogging capability is possible due to the superhydrophilicity of the nanoporous thin films, leading to significantly improved transmittance in a highly humid atmosphere. |
