In this study, we manufactured thiol-modified silica-coated magnetic beads (TSM-bead) applied noble metal nanoparticles and report their optical and material properties. Six different types of Ag or Ag with Au introduced TSM-bead were produced. The types of six were introduction onto Ag nanoparticles (NPs) onto TSM-bead (TSM-bead@Ag NPs), growth of Ag onto TSM-bead (TSM-bead@AgG), introdution onto TSM-bead@Ag NPs (TSM-bead@Ag NPs@AuG), TSM-bead@AgG (TSM-bead@AgG@AuG), immobilization onto TSM-bead@Ag NPs (TSM-bead@Ag NPs&Au NPs) and TSM-bead@AgG (TSM-bead@AgG&Au NPs) respectively. Then, it was analyzed in optical and material properties by an UV–Vis spectroscopy, a scanning electron microscope (SEM) and an energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX). Conclusionally, the novel metal-applied magnetic beads can be functional as plasmonic tunable magnetic beads in biological, material, and chemical applications. |
