제목 | Polyimide/Silica Hybrid Composites Based on Polymer-Modified Silica |
초록 | Organic-inorganic hybrid composites with a polymer matrix are of considerable interest and importance since they frequently provide unique combination of properties from inorganic and polymer components.1-2 In these hybrid composites, matters of concern are to obtain significant improvements in the interfacial adhesion between the polymer matrix and the reinforcing material and dispersion state of inorganic filler. In the present study, the characterization of the microstructure and interface of a new type of polyimide(PI)/silica hybrid composite is discussed. The BPDA-ODA PI was used as a matrix and the polymer-modified silica as the reinforcing material was synthesized to increase the interfacial adhesion between PI and silica. The thermal and mechanical properties of hybrid composites were well characterized by FT-IR, 29Si CP/MAS NMR, TGA, DSC, RDA, UTM, and SEM measurements. As a results, hybrid composites exhibited higher thermal and mechanical properties over pure PI due to reinforcing effect of polymer-modified silica on hybrid composites. Fig. 1.
