Developments of Silver and Gold Introduced Silica Coated Magnetic Beads |

In this research, we prepared novel metal introduced thiol modified silica coated magnetic bead (TM-bead) and analyzed their optical property. Total 6 types of Ag or Ag with Au introduced TM-beads were compared. Ag were introduced onto TM-bead by two different methods; immobilization of pre-synthesized Ag nanoparticles (NPs) onto TM-Bead (TM-bead@Ag NPs) and growth of Ag onto TM-bead (TM-bead@AgG). Then, Au ions were introduced onto TM-bead@Ag NPs (TM-bead@Ag NPs@AuG) and TM-bead@AgG (TM-bead@AgG@AuG) or Au NPs were immobilized onto TM-bead@Ag NPs (TM-bead@Ag NPs&Au NPs) and TM-bead@AgG (TM-bead@AgG&Au NPs), respectively. Then, the materials were analyzed by UV-Vis spectroscopy, scanning electron microscope (SEM) and Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX). Since our study was performed on a unified frame, their optical property can be valuable information to those types of metal based materials. |
