제목 The antibacterial effect of silver nanoparticle in the carboxymethyl cellulose hydrogel
초록 Silver nanoparticle (AgNPs) has been known to inhibitory and bacterial effect. In this study, the antibacterial effect of silver nanoparticle in the carboxymethyl cellulose was investigated. CMC-Na powder (20 wt%) was dissolved in deionized water, and then irradiated by a gamma-ray to make CMC hydrogel. The CMC hydrogel has been dipped into 0.01M AgNO3 solution for 1hr. After that, the swollen hydrogels were irradiated by gamma-ray to form AgNPs. In this experiment, the antibacterial activities of CMC-Na hydrogels stabilized Ag NPs against S.aureus ATCC 6538P and E.coli ATCC 25922 have been studied by two methods: in liquid as well as on solid growth media. The antibacterial tests indicated that the hydrogels containing Ag NPs have antivacterial activity.
