Nanoparticles have been of great scientific interest for the ever-changing physical properties with a size-dependency in nanoscale that allow a bulk material to enhance the properties or to fabricate the hybrid materials with an excellent functionality. In particular, depending on the size and shape of nanoparticles, they have unexpected optical properties that arise a variety of quantum effects. Therefore, nanoparticles have attracted a lot of interest for a wide range of potential applications such as optical devices, reinforcement of materials or nanobuilding blocks. However, for the practical use of nanoparticles, it is essential to control the morphology of nanoparticles. Here, we report the self-assembly of nanoparticles which is driven by the hydrophobic interaction with soft materials. |
