Sodium/Sulfur battery is one of the most promising candidates for energy storage applications developed since the 1980s. The battery is composed of sodium anode, sulfur cathode and Na+-β″-alumina as electrolyte and seperator simultaneously. In this study, Na+-β″-aluminawere synthesized by Sol-Gel process using aluminum nitrate nonahydrate and sodium hydroxide as precusor. Phase fraction ofNa+-β″-aluminaaccording to variation of composition and calcination temperature were studied. The specimens were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscope(SEM)and particle size analyzer(PSA). |
