Effect of different soft-annealing time on the properties of CZTS thin films by sulfurization of sol-gel and spin coated precursor |

In this study, we investigated the effect of different soft-annealing time on the properties of Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS) thin films by sulfurization of sol-gel and spin coated precursor. The precursors were soft annealed at 3000C for different time (from 0 to 180 min) and then sulfurized at 5500C for 30 min. The structural, morphological, and optical properties of CZTS thin films were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Raman spectrometer, Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), and UV-Vis spectroscopy, respectively. XRD and Raman results showed that, presence of kesterite phase for all the CZTS thin films along with some secondary phases. FE-SEM study revealed that, CZTS thin films were uniform in nature for all soft-annealing time. The optical band gap of these films is 1.45 eV and the optical absorption coefficient is > 10 cm-1. |
