제목 Microfluidic Synthesis of Monodisperse, Thermosensitive, and Photochromic Microparticles
초록 We report a synthetic approach for the controlled fabrication of monodisperse, thermosensitive and photochromic poly (N-isopropylacrylamide-spirooxazine-N, N’-methylenebisacrylamide) (PNIPA-SPO-BIS) copolymer microparticles in a PDMS-based microfluidic device. Aqueous droplets of copolymer solution are generated in continuous phase of hexadecane containing photoinitiator and span-80. The PNIPA-SPO-BIS microparticles produced have high monodispersity and show fast response to environmental temperature. In addition, the size of microparticles produced can be manipulated by the flow rate of the either phases. Furthermore, the PNIPA-PO-BIS copolymer particles show excellent reversibility from closed (colorless) to photomerocyanine (colored) form in water under UV irradiation.
