Miscibility of chitosan/starch blends in solution by viscosity and refractive index methods |

Forming miscible, biodegradable composite film from chitosan with other hydrophilic biopolymers is an alternative. The objective of this study was to prepare chitosan/starch composite films by combining chitosan solution and starches. Biodegradable blend films from chitosan/starch were developed by casting film-solution on leveled trays. The influence of the ratio of starch and chitosan on the miscibility of biodegradable blend was investigated by measurements of viscosity and refractive index methods. |
