In this presentation, we will demonstrate the solidified gelatin films with densely triple-stranded helix structure. As compared with conventional gelatin-hydrogel, the solidified gelatin films can effectively form the ultra-conformal contact with a skin regardless of the skin conditions such as wrinkles, body hair, and sweat glands. Such improvements are presumed to stem from the anisotropic swelling-shrinking behavior of solidified gelatin films through crosslinking between the protein chains. We will also investigate the mechanism of molecular interaction in the solidified gelatin films for ultra-conformal contact with the skin by analyzing various characterizations. We believe that this work can open-up new paths for emerging material design and process towards advanced skin-attachable electronics.
