UV light activated indium oxide nanoparticles for NO detection at room temperature |

The sensing characteristics of indium oxide (In2O3) gas sensors under different intensity of UV light illumination have been investigated at room temperature. Sensing measurements were performed with layer In2O3 nanoparticles fabricated by the arc-discharge method in sub-ppm NO gas concentrations. UV light illumination effectively improved the NO sensing properties, and a medium intensity of the UV light produced the highest sensing performance: an in-crease in the response, a decrease in the response/recovery time, and a good selectivity. This is promising for the devel-opment of a sensor for NO working at room temperature. |
