The spreading of a suspension drop on a solid surface is important in many industrial processes such as inkjet printing, coating, pesticide deposition and so on. When the suspension drop spreads, a contact line problem arises at the intersection of the liquid, a gas or another liquid and a solid. In this presentation the contact line motion of a suspension drop was studied. Experiments were performed in both isothermal and non-isothermal conditions. In addition, drying patterns of the suspension with different wetting characteristics of particles were reported. |
