제목 In vitro anti-tumoral activity test of Taxol using SMEDDS
초록 The current clinical formulation of Taxol has a promising clinical activity against a wide variety of tumors. Because of overcome many problem (poorly water solubility and the oral delivery of such drug is associated with implications of low bioavailability), various formulation strategies have been reported including the use of surfactants, mamoparticles, solid dispersions and lipids. We use self-microemulsifying drug delivery system(SMEDDS) containing paclitaxel. SMEDDS are isotropic mixtures of an oil, surfactant, cosurfactant, and drug. They form fine oil-in-water emulsions when introduced into aqueous media under mild agitation. The in vitro anti-tumoral activity of SMEDDS developed in this work was assessed by a human breast cancer cell line MCF7 and compared to the in vitro anti-tumoral activity of the Taxol and Genexol -PM. The results of cytotoxicity, maximum tolerated dose (MTD) and cell viability suggest that SMEDDS may have a great advantage over present-day chemotherapy with Taxol and Genexol -PM.
