Many of materials are dumped due to shortened product life cycles lead by cracks or aging. To overcome shortening of life cycles, living things heal themselves, so called self-healing. Therefore, many studies are being conducted to give self-healing property to the materials we use. But still, there are limitations on the mechanical properties of self-healing polymers due to its self-healing mechanism. In this study, self-healable matrix polymer and block copolymer with soft self-healable block and hard block were prepared and used to form hetero-nanostructures and carbon allotropes-based composites to enhance thermo-mechanical properties of self-healing material.
