제목 Ethylene glycol process modeling by modification of NRTL binary parameters
초록 The purpose  is to explain the effect of thermodynamic correlation on the process simulation. Ethylene glycol recovery and purification process is selected as an example plant.  NRTL binary parameters between some components are modified to describe the licensor data (heat and material balance).  This study shows how to select the thermodynamic databank and to modify the binary parameters for process simulation.  The product qualities and quantities calculated with adjusted NRTL binary parameters well agree with licensor data.  Also, VLE calculation with the base case and adjusted NRTL binary parameters are compared with experimental VLE data.  The latter case well explained VLE data for systems including glycols and aldehydes.  In conclusion, it is important to correlate the thermodynamic model to explain the operating conditions of the licensor data or heat and material balance.
