제목 Synthesis and characterization of chitosan-based in situ cross-linkable thermogel system
초록 Thermosensitive polymers have been widely used for in situ forming hydrogel system in biomedical applications as they do not require organic solvents, chemical crosslinkers and additives for gelation. However, week mechanical strength and low physical stability have been often reported, limiting their practical applications. To address this problem, the in situ cross-linkable thermogel system was developed using thermosensitive N-hexanoyl glycol chitosan derivatives, methacrylated HGC (M-HGC) and thiolated HGC (SH-HGC). Mixing of M-HGC and SH-HGC (M/SH-HGC) induced thermal gelation at physiological temperature. As the time passed, the M/SH-HGCs could form chemically crosslinked by michael addition to demonstrate enhanced mechanical properties. The physico-chemical properties of the hydrogels were characterized by 1H-NMR, ATR-FTIR, SEM and rheometer. Therefore, in situ cross-linkable thermogel systems are expected to be a promising biomaterial for various biomaterial applications.
