Due to the unusual properties associated with their ultrathin 2D structural features, mechanical, thermal and electronic properties, boron nitride nanosheets (BNNs) have received extensive interests in various applications. While there are increasing number of publications for the formulation of soluble BNNs which can be dispersed in various solvent media with high dispersion stability, facile functionalization methods have not been unveiled until now because functionalization methods in carbon chemistry cannot be directly attempted for BNNs. Here, simple covalent attachment of certain thermosensitive polymers on the surface of BNNs were tried to obtain thermosensitive polymer-attached BNNs which show interesting thermo-responsibility. |
