This study focused on the various properties of the ternary blends of thermotropic liquid crystalline polymer (TLCP) and polyesters such as PEN and PET via reactive blending. In isothermal PVT behavior and thermal analysis, melting temperatures of the ternary blends which are based on PEN/PET in 50/50 wt% were disappeared during the second test and crystallization was only occurred in the crystalline region of PEN during the first test. However, melting and crystallization temperatures of the ternary blends which are based on PEN/PET in 75/25 wt% were appeared all composition and test. The free volume change of the ternary blends which are based on the PEN2/PET2 in 50/50 wt% are the higher than those based on the PEN/PET in 75/25 wt% at the crystallization region. Therefore, TLCP/PEN/PET ternary blends are miscible blend system. |
