Regioregular thiophene oligomer of 3,4’-dihexyl-5’’’-mercapto-2,2’,5’,2’’,5’’,2’’’-quarterthiophene(2H4T-SH) was synthesized from 2,2’-bithiophene and 3,4’-dihexyl-2,2’-bithiophene via Suzuki coupling reaction, and designed to have thiol end group. This oligomer was characterized by GC/MS, FT-IR and NMR, and utilized to modify CdSe quantum dots(QDs) by replacing TOPO via ligand exchange reaction, providing 2H4T-SH grafted CdSe quantum dots(QDs). Then, the QDs were subjected to miscibility study with P3HT and the dispersion behavior was characterized by TEM, UV-vis and fluorescence spectroscopy. |
