Titanium dioxide (TiO2) is sulfonated using tiron containing two -SO3Na groups per molecule. Platinum (Pt) nanoparticles are deposited onto TiO2 and SO3H-TiO2 supports using microwave assisted method, respectively. X-ray diffractometer (XRD), FT-IR, SEM, TEM and EDX are used for the characterization. Finally, three different composite membranes such as Nafion/TiO2, Nafion/Pt-TiO2 and Nafion/Pt-SO3H-TiO2 are prepared and applied to low humidifying PEMFC. The cell tests for various MEAs are conducted under 0%, 40%, 60%, and 100% in relative humidity. |
