Simple preparation of carbon/TiO2 core/shell nanoparticles showing visible light photocatalytic activity |
초록 |
Anatase titanium dioxide nanoparticles (TiO2 NPs) enabling photo-degradation of environmental pollutants, encourage human being to utilized TiO2 NPs for the purification of water with low cost. However, only ultraviolet (UV) can operate the photo-degradation of organic dyes because TiO2 NPs with band-gap of 3.2 eV can absorb only UV that is less than 5% of the total solar irradiation. TiO2/carbon core/shell NPs (C-TiO2), a new photocatalyst was prepared by the carbonization of dopamine-grafted TiO2 NPs that are simply formed through ligand-to-metal charge transfer (LMCT) between dopamine and TiO2 NPs. C-TiO2 presented enhanced photocatalytic degradation of rhodamine B under both UV and visible light due to the decreased optical band gap energy of C-TiO2 compared with TiO2. 2017년 한국교통대학교 지원을 받아 수행하였음. |
