This report covers trial burn testing of a 200 kg/hr Plasma Arc Melter(PAM) system located at the Korean Atomic Energy Research Institute(KAERI), Taejon. The objectives of this report are to evaluate the results of phase 2 trial burn tests to demonstrate the applicability of PAM system for the treatment of hazardous and low-level radioactive waste treatment from Korean nuclear power plant. The trial burn test of phase 2 where radioactive material such as Co, Cs were spiked with the waste treated. Results, derived from KAERI's analyses for scrubbing solution and offgas collected during test period, show that PAM-200 were to verify that 1) the facility meets air emission regulations, 2) the facility can be safely operated when processing radioactive materials. In the radiation work in which Co-60 26.17 mCi and Cs-137 19.27 mCi were used, no contamination has been occurred in the radiation controlled areas as well as in the environment of RWVP. and individual exposure was less than 0.1 mSv of minimum detectable level.
