제목 | The Synthesis Co(II) and Fe(II) Complexes Containing Tridentate Imine Ligands and the Polymerization of Ethylene Thereby |
초록 | In 1998, Gibson, Dupont and Brookhart groups reported the iron and cobalt complexes containing [N,N,N] tridentate ligands showed very high activities on ethylene polymerization in the presence of methyl aluminoxane (MAO). And these complexes produced linear polymers having no branches. Also, many experiments have been carried out to study the effects of metals selected, ligand structures, and polymerization conditions. We previously reported how the iron and cobalt complexes prepared by changing the position and the bulkiness of substituents on the aryl ring effected on ethylene polymerization. In this study, we report on the synthesis of new iron and cobalt complexes containing various tridentate imine ligands. These complexes were characterized by using various spectroscopic techniques. In addition the effects of ligand structures of the Co(II) and Fe(II) catalysts on the ethylene polymerization behavior. |
