제목 | Status of tritium contaminated water management in Fukushima |
초록 | Nuclear power plants produce large amounts of radioactive tritium, and any unplanned release of high concentrations of tritiated water can cause contamination of aquatic environments (i.e. groundwater). Meanwhile, the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster in 2011 resulted in the generation of large quantities (~400 ton/day) of liquid waste containing tritium, and the liquid is currently being store in tanks. In this presentation, we report issues related to the management and treatment of tritiated water and tritium contaminated environment. Especially, status of tritiated water management in Fukushima and tritium separation technology assessment will be presented |
